Cuba is one of our favourite countries we visited so far! It is very warm and welcoming, people are amazingly friendly and helpful there. If only we knew more Spanish...
With all the political issues in the past they had to be self-sufficient so the majority of the produce is locally grown. Due to this agricultural nature the cuisine wasn’t always immediately plantbased friendly but everywhere we went and explained to them that we didn’t eat animal products all of our hosts were more than accommodating to sort us out with an amazing meal.
We are still in contact with our hosts over there and can’t wait to visit them again one day. Until then we have to bring a little piece of Cuba to Dublin!
